In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month in October, the Wilkes-Barre Car Club and Domestic Violence Service Center (DVSC) will host a “Trunk OR Treat” event on Friday October 25th from 5:30-7:30 pm on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre. This is a FREE Family event and will feature a Halloween parade and treats for the children. All kids in costume will be able to collect FREE treats. The novelty of gathering treats from the trunks of classic cars is a fun way to celebrate Halloween and create awareness for domestic violence. DVSC will be on hand to promote our programs: Hands Are Not For Hitting, It’s Not Okay to Bully, The Self-Control Patrol, Bullies Are A Pain in the Brain and more.
